Princess Cruises – We are currently searching for a highly motivated Sr Email Marketing Specialist who is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing email marketing programs that drive conversion in support of company and business unit strategic goals for Princess and Cunard. Reporting directly to the eServices Manager, this person handles integrated email marketing communications for Princess and Cunard.

  • Owns, improves, and operates all technical aspects of the entire email marketing program.

  • Responsible for the deployment of 700+ million emails annually for Princess and Cunard with significant revenue impact.

  • Performs day-to-day hands-on email marketing activities including email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered personalized and dynamic content driven campaigns.

  • Troubleshoots technical issue related to HTML templates, list segmentation, and other aspects of email execution.

  • Monitors email deliverability and addresses any potential issues.

  • Develops, maintains, and distributes weekly email calendars.

  • Manages the email mix to ensure balance of promotional vs informational content.

  • Conducts weekly planning meetings with key stakeholders to review and adjust schedules.

  • Conducts weekly KPI review and feedback meetings with designers.

  • Maintains ownership of the set-up, maintenance, and quarterly review of reoccurring and triggered email.

  • Stays abreast of and recommends email marketing best practices with coding, design, and testing of email campaigns.

  • Researches current trends and suggests improvements to elevate existing campaigns.

  • Plans tracking strategy for campaigns prior to launch.

  • Tracks email performance and reports on KPIs.


  • Associate’s degree or trade school work or any combination of experience, training, or education.

  • Four or more years’ experience in related positions in the areas of email marketing, plus two to three years’ experience in email and/or interactive design.

  • Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS in relation to building email campaigns.

  • Experience deploying emails from an email service provide.

  • Comfortable with popular text editors such as Sublime Text, Atom, Litmus Builder, and Dreamweaver.

  • Understanding of dynamic content principles and using data to drive personalization.

  • Basic understanding of A/B testing concepts and reporting.

  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality.

  • Must be a self-starter with a proven track record of prioritizing high impact activities while keeping complicated projects moving forward.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, in order to interact with other departments, management, agencies, vendors, designers, and colleagues.

  • Copywriting / editing skills helpful.

  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.


  • Experience working across multiple buyer segments.

  • Prior experience in B2C enterprise technology marketing.

  • Familiarity with IP warming and send reputation monitoring.

  • Knowledge of email regulations including CAN-SPAM and CASL.

  • Advanced knowledge of vlookups and pivot tables in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Wordpress.
