Southern California Edison Project Analyst (APP2) in Rosemead, California
This position is located in the EPM Support Services/Center of Excellence department within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Energy Procurement and Management (EPM) Business Unit. The Project Analyst will report to EPM’s Sr. Supervisor, Business Operations and will support key initiatives, projects and department processes and have a continuous improvement mindset. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with hands-on experience in SAP Role Mapping and document management systems such as OpenText or SharePoint.
The Project Analyst will be responsible for gathering documentation and researching data on assigned topics to draw conclusions on simple to moderate information which normally have established precedents. He/she will be assigned tasks on specific projects, programs, and functional issues in which he/she will need to draw on past analytical experience to meet objectives. The Project Analyst will need to network or request subject matter expertise, align with organization goals across departments, support data governance, and cross-organizational teams and meetings.
Gathers documents and researches data on assignedtopics, using SAP, databases, files, spreadsheets, or other sources. Asdirected and according to established procedures and practices, mayadminister programs with minor departmental impact. May conduct trainingfor assigned programs.
Prepares analysis and recommendations based oninformation from internal and external sources. Works with peers tosupport all EPM Groups including senior management.
Receives, creates and maintains records, logs,documents, files, or databases for use in monitoring, tracking, andtrending program/project costs, resources, schedules, and status fordepartment and program management. Reviews files for completeness oraccuracy; reports to program management on discrepancies. Reviews andupdates reports, documents or correspondence.
Coordinates multiple meetings, caterings andpreparation of presentation materials. Support presentations given bydepartment management and department peers. May conduct presentations at various EPMgroup staff meetings and to other SCE groups.
Back up to EPM Support Staff onregularly performed tasks and project specific tasks including but notlimited to P.O./NPO invoice processing and support of budget/operationalplan.
Support and participate onCorporate Onboarding Improvement project and other enterprise wideprojects as needed.
Advise and recommend solutions thathave minor to moderate impact on a department or the Company.
B.A. or B.S. degree
Three years of experience in anadministrative/analytical role using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook)
Two years of experience with SAP or another related ERPplatform processing transactions.
Demonstrated experience in identifying & implementing processimprovement ideas and customer service.
General knowledge of project management and bestoperational practices.
Demonstratedexperience/proficiency in portal technology and collaborative tools(Sharepoint/OpenText or other related programs)
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently andeffectively as individual contributor and in team environment.
Uses highly developed skills and experience, andoccasionally exercises judgment, in addressing issues with minor tomoderate impact.
The primary worklocation for this position is Rosemead, CA
