The Analyst Program/Project 2 will be responsible for supporting the Attorneys and Legal Administrative Assistants for the Law Department. They will gather documents to research regarding regulatory information and data to ensure that daily deadlines are met. Maintains databases, reviewing files and spreadsheets. Analyze information, problems, situations, practices or procedures in order to identify concerns, recognize alternatives, and modify procedures or methods. Work directly with Attorneys, Legal Administrative Assistant, APP3 or client representatives to prepare analysis and recommendations based on information from internal and external sources. Interact with CPUC staff to collaborate analysis and recommendations.
Monitoring the mailbox for FERC and CPUC, internal distributions, external filings, the CPUC and FERC e-filing system, mailings, confidential handling and analyzing rulings and decisions for calendaring purposes. Monitor FERC and CPUC rules and regulations. Maintain reciprocal exchange of material with other utilities. Daily floor activities regarding questions on process or filing issues. Exercises independent judgment with respect to routine issues. Maintain and update weekly filing calendar. Backup support for Filing Specialists to ensure the proceeding documents and events are progressing and filing correctly.
Twoyears of experience in a legal position.
Oneyear of experience in an analytical position.
Oneyear of experience with regulatory matters, law, or utility operations.
AssociateDegree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Typicallyone year of experience in an analytical position.
Experiencesupporting complex projects. (i.e. General Rate Case).
Demonstratedexperience planning and organizing multiple assignments, tasks, and projects,and adjusting to changing priorities.
Proficientin Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Outlook or an equivalent e-mailapplication.
Demonstratedexperience handling confidential information.
Demonstratedability to work in a high-pressure environment and under strict timeconstraints.
Demonstratedability to take the initiative and utilize good judgement in anticipatingand solving problems and providing solutions.
Demonstrateability to plan, organize and coordinate the efforts of various disciplines.
Mustexercise accuracy and high attention to detail, including discretion whendealing with confidential materials.
