Working as a Financial Analyst/ Ops Controller, you are responsible for directing and coordinating financial planning and budget management functions. You will recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the overall operation, as well as monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and give feedback on how to control operating costs

  • Manage the preparation of financial reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

  • Analyze financial reports for variances against budget and present data with recommendations to bring operating costs in line with budget

  • Perform financial forecasting reports throughout the fiscal year

  • Establish short and long term goals with department heads for policies, objectives and operating procedures

  • Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or Hotel, Restaurant Management

  • At least three years in a Financial Management role

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools and advanced knowledge of Excel

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Able to remain organized in a fast paced environment

  • Highly energetic and results oriented

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of oral and written English

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Mathematical Skills:

  • Strong technical accounting skills

  • Ability of dissect complex transactions to achieve the end goal of correcting entry errors

  • Strong analytical skills

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Ability to shift and reprioritize tasks as needed

  • Excellent time management skills, able to meet deadlines

  • Ability to sort through and document corporate processes to achieve desired Outcome

Other Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding of GAAP Accounting

  • Able to perform month end close tasks as well as train and delegate tasks to meet deadlines

  • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior

  • Natural tendency to initiate process improvements

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, be well organized, perform under stressful situations and communicate effectively

Education: A BS/BA degree required in Accounting
