The Nurse Manager holds 24 hours accountability for the quality of patient care, efficiency of operations, and human resources management for the assigned departments. Patient care and services are carried out in collaboration with hospital administration and the medical staff and in compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agency requirements.
Manages daily operations of assigned units; promotes a positive and professional environment; holds supervisory responsibilities; maintains adequate and productive staffing; collaborates with staff to meet or exceed quality and patient safety goals through shared governance.
Graduate of a state approved School of Registered Nursing.
Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
Master degree preferred. (A master’s degree in nursing may be accepted in lieu of a BSN)
Recent experience with ventricular assist devices (VADS), IABP and CRRT preferred.
Recent ECMO experience strongly preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in a management or nursing leadership position required.
Four years experience as an RN required.
Proven performance may substitute for years of experience.

BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
ACLS from American Heart Association.

Los Angeles City Fire and Safety Certification. (If employee does not have Los Angeles City Fire and Safety card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.)
