AHF is currently seeking Interns for the Winter program: August 31 - December 11. The program will provide insight for students who have interest in the field of Managed Care, with a focus on the Quality Division. This is a paid, part-time position.
AHF is currently seeking a Managed Care - Provider Relations/Contracts intern to work full-time that will start on June 18th through August 10th. The program will be a full time internship of 40 hours per week, and will provide insight for a student who has interest in working for non-profit organization. This position is paid $13.00 hourly.
Managed Care – Contracting & PR Intern
This position will assist the National Contracting & PR Director of AIDS Healthcare Foundation in developing, implementing and evaluating methods specific to provider data validation and reconciliation in the provider data base. The intern will get the opportunity to see all aspects of provider-related issues and how many intersects provider data accuracy has to other parts of Managed Care.
Contracting & Provider Relations initiatives include, but may not be limited to:
Provider data validation process development
Development of tools to manage the data validation process
Reporting to measure success and progress with provider data accuracy
Potential to combine multiple surveys into a more streamlined process to make sure required elements are not only collected but verified as accurate.
Creating instructional communication for providers to educate on provider data validation process and what expectations we have for network providers
Assist to develop data validation information/tools on the PHP and PHC websites so providers can access and update data themselves
Create process for end-to-end provider data validation.
Policy & procedures for the process
Create tools to use to compile and verify the necessary provider data elements.
Interface with other departments, including Member Services, IT and UM, as needed.
Create measurement tool/reporting or process for measuring the results of validation efforts according to frequency required by State and CMS.
Must be a fulltime student (junior/senior) at an accredited 4-year college or post graduate
Must have a gpa of 3.0 or higher majoring in Healthcare Administration, Business Adminitstration, Public Health or related field
Must commit to the full duration of the program and full time hours
Must have exceptional computer skills
