Position serves as FOS’ primary contact with WDI project team(s) supporting development of new attractions, lands and gates for Parks and Resorts. Partners with FOS groups to develop or contribute to deliverables required to support WDI and FOS development processes. Provides timely updates on project status, issues and concerns to partners and FOS leadership. Supports evaluation of alternate means/methods/materials balancing lifecycle costs and project budgets. Partners with appropriate groups across FOS, Operations and WDI to effectively develop new attractions, including "never done before".
Develop, review and revise required deliverables (e.g. maintenance inputs/requirement, spares strategy, risk assessment, engineering standards, turnover deliverables) to support capital authorization request.
Evaluates candidate designs to ensure maintainability and sustainability within assumed operating costs for show, ride and facility systems.
Evaluate deviations from existing standards/practice/means/methods/materials and propose/review recommendations with appropriate stakeholders.
Develop and distribute timely reports on status while elevating issues and potential solutions to appropriate leaders for resolution.
Keep safety in mind for all efforts.
Represents or acts as liaison for all FOS groups but alerts partners to engage on critical issues and decisions.
Effectively partners with operating groups (e.g. Operations, Foods, Merchandise) while leading FOS groups to ensure a successful project delivery.
Effectively influence WDI and FOS senior leadership and other business units that consist of creative disciplines, architects, engineers, designers and or technicians.
Establishes critical external alliances. Shows consistency in words and actions. Obtains full engagement through inspiring communications.
Develop execution strategies and estimates (e.g. manpower, travel, equipment, etc.) to provide support to multiple projects and teams. Reviews progress and evaluates results.
Identifies appropriate direction, resources and environment needed for success. Translates strategy into specific priorities, objectives and action plans involving the larger and more important projects or more than one critical project. Manages projects, processes and resources to produce desired outcomes.
Recommends/develops changes in procedures.
Basic Qualifications :
Extensive knowledge and experience with development of theme park assets and sustaining operations for Disney.

Strong communication and presentation skills to peers and senior leaders.
Strong project management and negotiation skills.
Strong computer skills - familiar with word processing, spreadsheets, model viewers.
Extensive knowledge of and familiarity with Disney standards.
Knowledge of and familiarity with U.S. industry and international standards (e.g. ASTM, SAE, ASME, ANSI, DIN, ISO, AWS, MIL Specs, etc.).
Knowledge of and familiarity with U.S. industry and international standards for facilities (e.g. UBC, IBC, CBC, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications :
Strong computer skills - SolidWorks (preferred), AutoCAD.
Professional Engineering registration
Required Education :
- BS Engineering, BS Technology, Construction Management, Architecture. Alternate degrees will be considered based on proven applicable work experience.
Preferred Education :
MS Business Adminstration
MS Engineering ABET Accredited
Alternate degrees will be considered based on proven applicable work experience.
