Based in Torrance, we are privately owned Healthcare Analytics Technology company, specializing in Medicare Risk Adjustment services for US health insurance companies. Services include medical coding, healthcare data analytics, home health assessments, and medical chart retrieval, The Company has over 900 employees spread across Los Angeles, Chennai (India), and Mumbai (India).
Due to company growth we are building out a next generation system architecture that will support our business growth. We are looking for a Director of Compliance will serve as the focal point for Technology and Operations compliance activities and will report to the Chief of Operations. The key functions are planning, implementing and monitoring the corporate compliance program. Additionally, Director of Compliance will be key member of the corporate emergency response team.

What You Will Be Doing
The ideal candidate will develop and maintain a robust technology compliance program in accordance with healthcare industry standards. Additionally, the ability to track and report on key security metrics/trends on a recurring basis. The ability to run and evaluate system reports and diagnostics (i.e. group policy objects, firewall configurations, etc) for adherence to corporate policy.
Draft and revise compliance policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards
Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk
Create internal controls and monitor adherence to those controls
Creates and administers compliance training in accordance with industry standards
Oversees compliance initiatives across multiple departments (IT, HR, Finance, etc)
Supports request for proposal (RFP) responses related to compliance program
Leads all new and recurring compliance certification initiatives (i.e. HiTrust, HIPAA, etc)
Prepares the business for all compliance audits (vendor and internal)
Prepares business responses for client requested compliance information
Prepares and executes remediation plan on all audit compliance findings
Ensures all evidence to support compliance to policies is collected at identified intervals
Reviews compliance evidence and creates remediation plans for any discrepancies
Maintains current knowledge of federal and state compliance regulations
Must maintain the ability to work in an environment with PHI / PII data
May be assigned other duties
Must maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Corporate Compliance Committee of the Board and Senior Management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
Ensure proper reporting of violation or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required
What You Need for this Position
---Must have experience with Manga sing security certifications, audit, client compliance interactions etc---
Minimum Bachelors/Masters degree preferred
Minimum of 7+ years of experience within technology or healthcare industry
Experience managing an organizations compliance with a security standard/certification (HITRUST/HIPAA preferred, but PCI, ISO or other certification regimes are fine)
Professional Certification preferred
Knowledge of industry standards and practices
Knowledge of Risk analysis frameworks
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintain a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
