Raytheon Senior Tech Support Engineer in El Segundo, California
Job Description: Utilizing computer-aided design equipment, develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of complex printed circuit assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, and structures. Checks completed printed wiring board layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Required Skills: Experience laying out printed circuit boards using Mentor Graphics Expedition CAD software. Understanding of Printed Circuit Board fabrication. Understanding of drafting room principles. Minimum of 4 years experience with a Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 10 years experience with an Associate's Degree Must be able to obtain an Secret security clearance US Citizenship is required Desired Skills: Ability to review incoming work and help manage work load. Familiarity with IPC-(6010 series), IPC-(2200 series) Prior experience in DoD or Aerospace Existing clearance Required Education: Must have at least an Associates Degree from an ABET accredited university with a major in CAD Design, with 10 years of professional experience Or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with 4 years of professional experience 111767
