New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) Operator Assembly in Chatsworth, California
The primary responsibility of an Assembly Operator is to perform work station and/or assembly operations to produce components or to assemble those components into completed bearing or bearing products by performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs any assembly type functions, using hand tools, mechanical equipment and/or measuring equipment
Reads, references and interprets written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures
Maintains established production levels and quality standards
Visually or through the use of a microscope, inspect various conditions of unassembled/assembled bearings
Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship
Maintains necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections
Handle parts according to established procedures
Assist with training of operators and new personnel, as required
Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations
Keep work area clean and orderly
Performs related duties as assigned by leadership
Ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions in English
Good manual dexterity and concentrated visual attention skills
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization
Ability to wear clean room uniform including mask; excess jewelry not permitted, limited make up permitted
Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.
Hours: 1st or 2nd Shift
