Wells Fargo Middle Market Loan Team Manager (LTM) - Woodland Hills Office in Woodland Hills, California

The Loan Team Manager is responsible for managing a team of commercial middle market relationship managers and/or for managing a specific product or process (e.g. credit) within the Regional Commercial Banking Office. Functions as Risk Control officer for RCBO and coordinates with Risk Asset Review. Works with senior management to develop and execute business plans; actively participates in the completion of transactions; coordinates credit review and loan workout functions; manages middle market relationship managers who manage credit based loan products. Provides traditional banking services such as cash management and/or custodial/transfer agent services.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of account relationship management experience

  • 1+ year of leadership experience

  • Sales experience

  • Leadership experience

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group banking products, and the credit practices/operating risks associated with them

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of underwriting

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Extensive commercial or specialty group middle-market relationship portfolio credit experience
