The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) is seeking qualified Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs and BCBA-Ds) to design, supervise, and implement ABA treatment programs for children, teenagers, and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data analysis, report writing, treatment plan development, and supervision of frontline technicians and assistant behavior analysts.

With over 100 locations nationwide, CARD is among the world’s largest and oldest autism treatment providers. CARD provides services across all clinically appropriate settings, including in the center and the patient’s home, school, and community. CARD’s mission includes a social justice initiative to provide top-quality, evidence-based autism treatment across all populations, regardless of funding, geographic, cultural, or linguistic variables. As such, BCBAs will gain experience in the supervision and delivery of ABA-based autism treatment across a wide variety of funding sources and treatment locations. Newly hired BCBAs benefit from senior CARD BCBAs who act as mentors to familiarize new clinicians with CARD policies and procedures. CARD provides all necessary training.

DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Benefits Manager reports directly to the Associate Human Resources Director. The benefits manager is a critical and visible role, responsible for the day to day management and operations of our group benefit programs, including medical/HRA, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, 401(k) plan; vacation accrual; as well as FMLA/LOA and administration of COBRA and supplemental insurance benefits program. This is a hands-on position where the person in the seat will be doing administration as well as supervision for 2000 plus team members in the U.S. ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and pertinent federal and state laws. The BM will also be responsible for the implementation of the corporate Wellness program and will be responsible to explain, summarize, and publish material which describes to CARD employees their rights and responsibility under their benefits plan. The position is located in Woodland Hills, California and is a full-time, exempt position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent and implement CARD policy enthusiastically

  • Represent CARD professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders

  • Conduit to Infinity online Benefits Administration System

  • Coordinate, monitor and maintain all CARDs benefits processes including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, HRA, FSA, 401K, ancillary products such as: Pet Insurance, Homeowners, Credit Union

  • Maintain all employee benefit records

  • Respond to emails and phone inquiries from employees within CARD

  • Design and administer CARD’s benefits program

  • Communicate with employees to ensure thorough understanding of benefits offered at CARD

  • Consult with employees about coverage for medical procedures

  • Act as an intermediary between benefits providers and CARD employees

  • Work with broker during open enrollment and RFP process

  • Manage the open enrollment process

  • Direct the corporate Wellness program and author Wellness column in the Safety and Wellness newsletter

  • Conduct employee trainings and webinars

  • Training and overseeing secondary support personnel

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant HR Benefit administration experience

  • Experience with multi-level benefits in a tiered structure with diverse roles

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work cross functionally with staff of all levels

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiar with HR benefits administration – HRIS Systems

  • Proficient in computer skills such as MS. Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Respectful and professional at all times operating with a sense of service to internal customers

  • Experience with project status reporting including updates and goal setting/completion to superiors
