Farmers Insurance Application Subject Matter Expert III [Business Applications] in Woodland Hills, California
The Woodland Hills, CA office of Farmers Group, Inc. seeks an Application Subject Matter Expert III [Business Applications] to provide high level of expertise in the design and functionality of business applications. Specific duties include: Understand the business objectives and how best they can be supported by IT; responsible for the conceptual design of business applications; review and validate the technical design for business applications provided by the supplier; perform quality review checks on project deliverables; validate suppliers estimates; perform impact analysis of application changes across various components; estimate Rough Order of Magnitude to implement new application functionality; specify/recommend integration and parallel testing criteria; support the implementation activities, as required.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Technology, or a closely related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Programmer Analyst Trainee, Programmer Analyst, Associate – Projects, Sr. Associate – Projects, Sr. Systems Analyst, or similar position.
Specific requirements for this role include 5 years of experience working with MQs and Web services interfaces with Mainframe, DB2 log analyzer tool, IBM Mainframe technology including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, Easytrieve, FileAid, and Endeavor, and working in the Insurance industry across policy and claims systems. Experience must also include 3 years of experience working with Informatica, Tableau, Cube, J2EE, Oracle, Harvest, and Clear Case and 2 years of experience building roadmaps.
