Job Description

PennyMac’s Corporate Finance team comprises Corporate Development, Investor Relations & Agency Relations. Corporate Finance is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, optimizing the corporate capital structure and coordinating other corporate matters.

Investor Relations is responsible for the development, management and implementation of the company’s strategic investor relations program. Agency Relations is responsible for partnering with PennyMac’s leadership to align and manage strategic programs, projects,

ongoing delivery operations and general relationship building efforts involving Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, government agencies and regulatory groups as critical business partners. Members of the Corporate Finance team work closely with C-Level executives and

senior management to support corporate transactions such as capital raising activities (i.e., debt and equity financing), mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategic initiatives. Valuable experience will be gained in the areas of financial modeling,

strategy formulation, and transaction execution. Ideal candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly analytical and organized, intellectually curious, and possess very strong attention to detail. Significant on-the-job training

and development will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for all Corporate Finance activities including: Corporate Development, Investor Relations & Agency Relations

  • Perform business and financial analysis and related support on corporate development projects, including capital raising, M&A, and strategic initiative activities

  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly earnings disclosures, including: presentations, press releases, discussion materials and the execution logistics related to the public dissemination of earnings materials

  • Execute regular processes such as annual agency re-certifications, maintenance of master agreements and variances, maintain current list of authorized signers

  • Establish productive working relationships and serve as an important point of contact with internal business unit leadership teams that interface with GSEs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) and government agencies (Ginnie, FHA, VA, USDA, HUD), including Servicing,

Risk Management, Credit, Trading, Secondary Marketing, and Business Development

  • Manage initiative operational plans, deliverables, and status updates to drive a shared understanding, prioritization and progress on strategic initiatives

  • Collaborate with the department leaders and contribute meaningfully to strategic initiatives involving close coordination with either GSEs or government agencies through analytics, idea generation, logistics management, and dialogue coordination

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Skills & Abilities:

  • 4 Year college degree (Bachelor or equivalent)

  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational and analytical skills and very good attention to detail

  • Ability to define, analyze, research, and clearly communicate issues and ideas

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, and to prioritize tasks, in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
