/ Overview of Business Area /

/ As a member of the Medicaid Strategy & Development unit within the Government Business Division (GBD), the Medicaid LTSS Product Management team works in a collaborative manner with our Medicaid Plan Presidents and the Product Development team and corporate, to lead Anthem’s Long Term Services & Supports (LTSS) strategy, implementation and execution to position the company as an industry leader. The LTSS Product Management team develops enhanced capabilities and services, evaluates unique partnerships, manages the development and ongoing management of our value added benefits, manages pilot projects, and provides the company with LTSS program/product expertise. / / / / As an integral member of this team, you will work with people across the GBD division to accomplish assigned goals that may include, but will not be limited to, market development & growth, subject matter expert, interpreting federal and state business requirements, development of reporting tools and analytic tools/dashboards, establish program blueprint, identify/implement innovations, incentives programs, etc. / / / / Successful individuals must have a solid understanding of LTSS waivers and programs and be able manage multiple projects. / / / Location: This position can be work@home , anywhere in the United States, and requires 30% - 50% overnight travel.

Responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more external client facing programs that are multi-state, multi-function and multi-year in scope. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going external client facing programs.

  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.

  • Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.

  • Develops communication documents and training criteria related to external client facing program success measures.

  • Develops documentation to support meeting presentations and the tracking and reporting of the program’s success.

  • Provides leadership to program managers and project managers.

  • Typically reports to an executive.

  • Program directors typically manage external client facing programs that require managing activities and resources of multiple departments or business areas of the organization.

  • Program directors typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing programs, projects and initiatives.

    Requires:

  • BA/BS degree; 10 years of experience in external client facing program management, project management; complex business processes, strategic and business planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred.

  • 30% - 50% travel.

    Must have knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Medicaid and LTSS.

  • HCBS (/Home and Community Based Services/) rules and regulations (including Medicaid Mega Rules.)

  • Familiarity of working with LTSS associations, organizations, advocacy groups, and both traditional and non- traditional providers.
