Job Description

Delivery Lifecycle professionals envision, estimate, define, build and deploy Accenture's solutions using standard delivery assets to improve client´s delivery approach.

The DevOps Manager will be responsible for setting up, managing, and evangelizing the tools and processes that enable the business of modern software development, the various points at which development could be improved by better tools, automation, or process improvement. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the SDLC, continuous integration and delivery practices, and supporting large agile development setups. DevOps Manager will work closely with Cloud teams to optimize and automate the end-to-end deployment and application environment delivery aspects to support software development groups.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.

Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.

Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments .

Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility .

Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of continuous integration tool experience with one of the following; Bamboo, Travis, hudson, buildbot, or Jenkins

  • Minimum 3 years of Source code management tool experience with one of the following; Git, mercurial, svn, or perforce.

  • Minimum 3 years of code build tool experience with one of the following; maven, grunt, gradle, etc.

  • Minimum 1 years of Java or other programming language

  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable – 10%

  • Candidate must be living or willing to relocate to Seattle, Washington

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Experience with two or more development tools: Git, SVN, Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, Chef, Puppet across two or more domain areas: source control management, continuous integration, automated deployments, configuration management

  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Desire to work in an information systems environment

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent leadership and management skills
