Engility is seeking skilled Operations Lead/Expert Mission Planner to support a critical program for our Intelligence Community customer. This position is vital to the success of the program and our national security. This role will have leadership responsibilities for a small team. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical and professional direction/guidance to team.

  • Provide mission critical support to a fascinating technical capability throughout all phases of operation (pre-mission, in-mission, post-mission).

  • Develop optimal requirements to most effectively accomplish mission objectives.

  • Closely coordinate plans with mission managers and system operators to ensure objectives are met while continually assessing possible adverse impacts.

  • Provide route planning expertise along with presentation packages to system operators.

  • Study and research performance capabilities and limitations of the system.

  • Provide real time feedback to system operators in order optimize mission satisfaction and eliminate mission interruption.

  • Manipulate Graphical User Interfaces and maintain situational awareness of surrounding environment.

  • Monitor and respond to system notifications and mission correspondence.

  • Schedule mission assets to include coordination of operator schedules and required equipment.

  • Develop tactics, techniques, and procedures for sustainable operations.

  • Develop CONOPS for mission operation and deconfliction.

  • Work in a team environment and interface with mission partners to enhance mission effectiveness.

  • Provide actionable recommendations during operational debriefs and planning sessions

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Requires a High School Diploma/GED and 15 years of relevant experience in mission planning OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of relevant experience in mission planning.

  • Must have prior experience managing a small to mid-sized team

  • Experience in operational planning and execution such as: Aviation Resource Management, Air Traffic Control Operations, Air Battle Management, etc.

  • In-depth understanding of an operational environment and culture

  • Ability to quickly identify and respond to anomalous system behavior

  • Experience working in mission operations environment

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure environments

  • Experience authoring technical documentation and training materials.

  • Working proficiency using MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.)
