The Environmental Services Lead works in conjunction with department leadership. The lead demonstrated a keen attention to detail and role models best in class customer service to all patients, customers, co-workers, physicians and leadership team members. The lead provides guidance and direction on all Environmental Services workflows and Environmental Technicians on their assigned shift, is qualified to expertly perform all EVs workflows and responds to EVS requests. The lead will articulate employee performance observations and provide feedback to department leadership team in support of employee evaluations. The lead will provide hands on technical training and support for all Environmental Services Technicians.

Qualification Requirements/Preferences:

Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Demonstrate leadership ability to establish intradepartmental administrative systems to achieve orderly work flow from patient areas and units. One to two (1-2) years of supervisory or team leader experience in an acute hospital preferred. Ability to function independently and to plan, organize, direct, monitor, and evaluate assigned work. Demonstrate commitment to provide quality customer service and coordinate multiple projects. Knowledge and understanding of the organization, functions, policies and procedures of the department and Hospital. Understanding of the inter-relationship with the large Cedars-Sinai Health System, and the ability to apply knowledge to the work of the department and patient throughout. Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills (verbal and written). Must have the ability to learn Windows or comparable (specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills).

Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking)

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Ability to lift equipment up to 30— 80 pounds, stoop, push, and pull equipment. Must be able to work with protective equipment for use in the cleaning, removal, and disposal of medical waste.
