What we’re looking for…

A Show Electronic Engineering Intern who will work within the department that performs Electronic Engineering activities related to attractions, show, and park/resort wide electronic systems.

Responsibilities : You will…

  • Develop designs that provide seamless show presentation

  • Work under the guidance of a more senior department member on specific assignments such as:

  • Defining Control System Requirements

  • Developing Specifications and Test Plans

  • Producing Electronic designs as required

  • Supporting Mock-ups and proof or concepts as needed

  • Supporting field installation

  • Providing Training and post opening support

Basic Qualifications :

What you bring to the role…

  • Understanding of electronic principles, mechanical concepts, and software systems

  • Knowledge of computer, power, and communications theories

  • Experience reading schematic and assembly drawings

  • Knowledge of system Integration and engineering analysis and simulation

  • Experience with prototype and electronic design

  • Understanding of theatrical concepts

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ability to present technical concepts in a manner understandable by non-technical people

  • Fabrication with rapid prototyping tools

  • Wireless & wired networking expertise

  • Robotics experience or industrial automation experience

Required Education :

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Entertainment Technology, Interactive & Theatrical Arts, or related field

Preferred Education :

Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must provide full work availability

  • Must provide own transportation to/from work

  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
