Whole Foods Market Maintenance & Facility Manager in Glendale, California

Job DescriptionThis TM will lead the process of providing repairs and maintenance for our store including warranty work, negotiating preferred rates and evaluation of service quality. The position is ultimately responsible for our energy management activities as well as leading a process for improving our energy efficiency initiative.Responsibilities

  • Identify current and future maintenance requirements.

  • Develops RFPs and negotiate service contracts.

  • Approve all service invoices to ensure consistent invoicing and warranty utilization.

  • Ensure EPA, code and Green Mission compliance.

  • Partner with appropriate Teams to champion energy awareness to Team Member level, conduct walkthroughs and audits.

  • Supports Green Mission programs for optimal waste management and recycling.

  • Partner with construction and store operations on capital upgrades and remodels.

  • Communicate regularly with stores to manage service provider performance.

  • Maintain Service Repairer Binder and Approved Service Provider list.

  • Maintain and continue to evolve Preventive Maintenance Timeline and all service forms.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Familiar with store filtering, planning, operations and merchandising

  • Experience managing construction, equipment, energy and capital projects

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Clear mission to provide service to the stores

  • Understanding of food store operations

  • Ability to effectively organize and handle multiplies projects at one time

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, etc.), Access, web-based applications and ability to learn custom applications

  • Experience tracking budget expenses, P&L accountability and performing life-cycle cost analyses

  • Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple Service Trades and manage in a diverse environment with focus on customer service

  • Willingness to travel throughout regions with flexibility to work different hours, including early morning and late night

Desired Work Experiences

  • Four year degree or equivalent experience

  • Maintenance (2-4 years)

  • Refrigeration Technician certificate preferred

  • Energy Manager Certification preferred
