Commercial Banking – Middle Market – Treasury Management Officer

As a Commercial Bank Treasury Management Officer, you will focus primarily on generating new business from prospective C&I clients with $20 Million to $500 Million in revenue while growing existing revenue from the Chatsworth / Norther Los Angeles market. You will work closely with an established team of bankers to ensure proper alignment of strategies and credit capacity for all Treasury Services products.

The coreresponsibilities of this position include :

  • Working in partnershipwith Middle Market bankers to develop new profitable business fromprospective clients; developing strategic account plans and executing them

  • Deepening and growingexisting market relationships

  • Managing client visitationand contact; understanding clients' business goals, environments,strategies, and industry trends to better determine their requirements andidentify potential new business opportunities for JP Morgan TreasuryServices via appropriate solution(s)

  • Understanding thecompetitions' capabilities and gaps, and how to position JP MorganTreasury Services

  • Promoting sales throughfrequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market andindustry developments

  • Managing proposal writingand the entire sales process

  • Developing and enhancingin-depth client knowledge and sharing it with the client coverage team forboth new business development and management of client risk

  • Working closely with thecoverage team to drive efforts to expand existing business with currentclients, providing feedback to product managers and generating cross-sellopportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other JPMorgan lines of business


  • Engage JP Morgan TreasuryServices sales, bankers and clients at senior and strategic levels toprovide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and clientdriven framework

  • Create strategic dialoguesaround key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices,benchmarking, opportunity quantification and solution positioning

  • Build template-drivenbusiness case quantification for clients in support of JP Morgan solutions

  • Partner with internalproduct stakeholders when representing the client perspective in thedevelopment/evolution of complex products and solutions

  • Deliver thought leadershipto the market, prospects and clients on the working capital solutions atclient roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, articles, etc.

  • Execute against a clearset of engagement principles that ensures consulting resources are mappedagainst the largest revenue opportunities within Treasury Services


  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of cashmanagement, sales and relationship management experience

  • Possesses knowledge and understanding ofTreasury Services products, credit process, overdraft management discipline,and pricing philosophy

  • B.A./B.S

  • Exposure to clients of similarly scale and scopeC&I $20 Million to $500 Million in revenue

  • Track record and capabilities to foster strongworking relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Ability to generate ideas, identify and drivethe development of new business

  • Demonstrates excellent/strong selling andnegotiation skills

  • Demonstrates excellent/strong verbal and writtencommunication skills

  • Possesses strong C&I industry background

  • Understanding of the Northern Los Angeles C&I market

  • Demonstrates strong time management, organizationaland planning skills

  • Possesses strategic thinking skills coupled withability to mobilize internal and external networks and resources

  • Has the ability to use various PC andInternet-based systems to manage their business portfolio

  • Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and awareness
